Jacob started out as a newspaper cartoonist with THE HINDU back in 1995, while doing his graduation program in Visual Communication ( Loyola college, Chennai), After college he worked as a Digital Illustrator in Saudi Arabia till mid 1997.
In 1998 he was selected in a countrywide selection programme to join as a trainee 2D Traditional Animation trainee. After working for a few years as traditional Animator he migrated to 3D Animation and later into professional Storyboarding.
Along the way he found his true calling as a Storyboard artist, while working on his own self funded Stopmo/ claymation films. Jacob is presently based in Dubai. His job is to service and visualise story ideas for TV commercials ( Nike, Mac Donald’s , MG, Abu Dhabi Reads, UAE Armed forces promos, Masdar, Beah, CNIA promos etc). He has worked as Storyboard visualizer on 3D Features and full format Hollywood films ( Bilal - The black master/ Zee productions , Misfits ( Renny Harlin / Pearce Brosnan )2021).
