Freelance writer with a diverse skill set seeking new opportunities and clients.
I've been writing for as long as I can remember. Over the years, I've branched out from short stories and angst-ridden teenage poetry-- these days, I write more web content than anything-- but my love for the craft has remained the same.
I graduated summa cum laude in 2010 with a B.S. in media production and a minor in writing. Afterward, I dove into the broadcast industry, gaining experience everywhere I could. Over the next eight years, I assisted sales and accounting, served as a back-up receptionist, helped with social media strategies and marketing plans, wrote commercials, mastered Excel, and provided administrative support. I learned a lot about teamwork, deadlines, and communications and met a lot of great people along the way.
I began writing in a professional capacity in 2014, primarily for sites such as Textbroker, Writer's Domain, and Scripted, as well the volunteer site Catchafire.org. I've written web content, social media posts, magazine articles, and TV commercials, as well as my own academic papers. Helping my clients reach their goals and creating great content are my passions.
In 2017, I took my next step and went back to school for my Master of Public Administration. I graduated in May of 2019 after completing coursework related to public policy, budget management, quantitative and qualitative research, and public administration principals. The experience taught me a great deal and helped me hone my research skills. Now, I look forward to putting what I learned to work.
