My name is Jake Lemons. I am a musician primarily, and I actually got my start in graphic design through music. The band I play with needed some promotional art done about a year ago, so I began playing around with photo manipulation and found I had a real knack for design. I have always been artistic, but had never attempted anything pertaining to design. Since then, I have begun freelancing, creating logo's and advertisements for local companies, as well as making promotional art for other musicians. I recently began work for a company called Social Overseer, and have begun to truly develop my skills as a designer, as well as learning web development and other various skills associated with design. I have truly been blessed to receive this position, as I've had no formal training, and was accepted, solely on the basis of my previous work. I thoroughly enjoy designing, and intend to soak up as much knowledge as possible,in the next few years, so that I can start my own company. I feel there is nothing in the field beyond my potential grasp, and it is only a matter of time before I am a highly experienced designer. Seeing as I have yet to receive permission from prior contractors, I currently only have my own personal work to display. I will, However, upload all other works as soon as I receive the okay from these companies. Most of what is available for viewing on my profile is my Illustration work, which is a mixture of hand drawn, digital, and photographic art. This work is much more busy than my usual work as it is intended for band promotion, and therefore has the need to be abstract and psychadelic. I tend to start a majority of my projects these days by hand drawing all the key elements,vector rendering them in Adobe Illustrator, and polishing them in other various programs. All logo and design work is guaranteed to be exclusive, and original, (no stock Photo's) and I guarantee it will be something that get's your viewers attention.
Work Terms
My current work hours are 9-5 monday-friday, but I generally have no qualms with working over time for the sake of meeting deadlines.
I prefer to receive all payments via Guru Safe Pay, and it would be best to communicate through email. I will periodically send you drafts of the work in progress if it is beneficial to your project, to make sure I am heading in the right direction with your design. Once communication has been established, I will be willing to exchange phone numbers to speed up the process.
