Never settling for mediocrity, always striving for success. As an avid athlete, my passion for sport translates to my work, as I am constantly pushing my abilities to new levels of desire.
I was born in New Liskeard, Ontario - a small northern town in Canada where winters last from October to April - where I grew up loving to read, write and swim competitively. These early passions served as catalysts to me pursuing English and Literature as a post-secondary education at Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario, while competing as a Laurentian Voyageur in the varsity swim team.
Following receiving my bachelor's degree at Laurentian University, I pursued Technical Writing at Algonquin College, where I learned an entirely new way of writing and communicating to the world.
Although I have retired from competitive swimming, after 16 years with the sport, I have gained valuable qualities that transfer to the professional workplace. I have learned lessons in resilience, dedication, and responsibility that are easily found in my work ethic.
As a swimmer, the goal was to swim a faster personal best than before. Once that was achieved, the goal needed to ascend higher in order to swim a faster time. My goal-setting priorities are absolutely similar in writing, where I am always striving to eclipse my previous work, and deliver something special for both my client, and the reader.
Work Terms
I am a freelance writer with an incredibly flexible schedule. I prefer being reached through email, but will speak on the phone or video call if necessary. As I bring with me post-secondary educational experience, I believe competitive payment terms are appropriate.
