Bringing together people, process and technology
I began developing professional software in 1986 and have a passion for technology. My passion to ethically deliver quality software is what drives me. I consider myself a life-long, humble student of the industry. I'm an engineer who wants to understand your business needs first, then ensure I deliver something that meets those needs. I began my career with a US-based top 500 insurance company where I worked in operations, support systems, receivables, claims, underwriting, sales and customer service. I've worked for a defense contractor having held a top-secret clearance for work done in the Military Health System. I currently enjoy working as a Principal Consultant for a well-respected consulting firm where I work in full-stack development using Microsoft technologies. When not developing software I work in both NCAA and professional football as an on-field official and game-day assistant respectively.
Work Terms
Although very flexible I would mostly be writing software later in the day and in the evenings providing updates as much as my clients would like to have. I'm a firm believer in ongoing collaboration and minimizing surprises. I will never deliver a product without sufficient design documentation and application runbooks.
