I have been in the business since I was 1995, and have worked for small local businesses and large multinational organizations and everything in between. I have experience typesetting in multiple languages (but please be advised I speak only English). I have recently returned to my home in Canada and am now offering freelance services.
My skills are mostly geared to getting things to a printer. Whether that is a flyer for a show, your business cards, a magazine, or a book hundreds of pages long, I can help you put your best foot forward with attractive, easy-to-read layouts that any print shop will love working with.
I am accustomed to meeting deadlines. My decades of experience in high-pressure environments have taught me to be very efficient and manage my time well.
I am expert at InDesign and have skills in other Adobe Suite products, as well as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
I also offer English proofreading services, and some limited copy writing/editorial. I can assist with basic CSS/HTML and WordPress.
Finally, I have other skills such as portraiture; voice work (uncommonly deep voice); article writing; acting; social media; etc.
Work Terms
As I am hard of hearing since birth, I will have to insist that most communication be done by email.
I quote according to the job and am willing to be somewhat flexible in my billing; however, I require half up front to start work and prompt payment at job completion.
While I will always try to be accommodating of your deadlines and schedule, in general my hours would be 9AM-7PM M-F. If your needs require action outside those hours, there may be additional charges.
