Video Editor

Hi my name is James Clark ,I am a 17 year old video editor,and I’ve been doing video editing since the 6th grade. Hopefully my age doesn’t scare you away from giving me a chance to show you that I can get the job done like any other video editor. The way I learned how to edit was by watching tutorials on YouTube to get the basics of Adobe Premier and After Effects down. Everything I know today is currently self taught, but since I never owned a camera to shot videos I used record clips from various video games to put them together like a montage, but here's an example of me using real camera footage from stock video files: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwhdyOuBEm8 .I completed this project in three hours but for most people a project can take them about a week, month, or maybe even longer than that but for me I have only worked on my projects for less than a month, heck most of them are done under a week. One day a friend had showed me his sister wedding video, and I ask how much did the guy who did this was paid, he tells me that he was paid 1,000$ and it took him a month to do it. I was thinking to myself is it right that the person who edited that wedding video in a month got paid 1,000 $ for creating something so sloppy that it looked like he did it in 5 minutes, when I could have done it in a couple of days and produced something 100x better. After that I felt it was unfair that people pay a so call “professional” a large amount of money and they give them mediocre results. So my current goal is to have a job doing what I love, Film-making/Video editing and to give people my best work so that they aren’t robbed of their money from people who don’t put in any kind of effort, and you can give me that chance to finally work towards my long term goal that I’ve had for more than half my life.

Work Terms

My hours varies since I'm still in school but i can work 2-5 hours each day mostly longer on weekends.
