Data Consultant - Data Warehouse and Analytics

I am a data analyst in the data warehouse and analytics space and have been working in this field since 2006, most recently as a freelance consultant. I have been working in various capacities including scoping, analysis, modelling, architecture and development for consulting firms such as Wardy IT, Artis Group, Alfasoft, Keydata and FinXL. I have excellent collaborating, organisation and communication skills which is key for agreeing requirements, business rules, data quality and solution design (quality deliverable). I use these skills also to provide visibility over projects including progress, blockers and change requests (timeliness deliverable). My ability to deliver the outcome is achieved through consistent and dedicated focus together with high analytical and problem-solving skills, my attention to detail and obtaining a complete understanding of the requirement. This is followed up by working closely with the business stakeholders on user acceptance and product refinement. I mostly work in agile environments, including scrum methodology. Its structured approach allows my strong execution skills to be used effectively, relationships to be built quickly and to be able to adapt to changes or new events. I have chaired a lot of workshops over the years with all levels of the business and I am well versed to explaining technology. My project experience is diverse and includes greenfield DataMart architecture and build, re-architecture and rework of struggling legacy solutions, analytics design and build, data mapping and data migration, data quality framework design and reengineering data dictionaries.
