I moved to Philadelphia more than ten years ago with the intention of creating a sturdy foundation to explore my artistic and design ambitions at a variety of scales.I have been developing my personal work building a portfolio in collaboration with communities I am a part of. It is a focus on painting, sculpting, and illustration using mixed mediums that have since moved towards creating murals, installations and education.I have a background in illustration, 2d and 3d fine arts which heavily influences the way I think about space, construction and the creation of art. My work often depicts the working class black community using space , volume, and disposition to illustrate life’s circumstances . Over the years i have shown my work at the galleries such as the A-space, Booze and Pancakes, Atiya Ola’s , Vice, and Spiral Q gallery .
I have taught art at organizations such as Urban Tree Connection , Centro Nueva Creacion, The Mural Arts Project of Philadelphia , and The Village of Arts and Humanities.
I believe the skill sets I have been honing as an artist, community worker, and designer uniquely qualify me to take on this
