Jay brings a variety of experience from several disease categories, having executed programs across oncology medicines, HIV treatment/prevention, MS, diabetes, schizophrenia, Alzheimer’s Disease, allergy and pediatric vaccines, in addition to providing strategic counsel through several data/regulatory milestones and issues management support.
He has worked side by side with clients during some of the most memorable moments in pharmaceutical history, including consumer educational programming around the launch of Gardasil, the FDA hearing to revoke the metastatic breast cancer indication for Avastin and the entrance of Isentress, the first integrase inhibitor to support unmet needs in treatment-experienced HIV patients. He has also provided leadership throughout several medical meetings and local market events.
His clients have included US and global pharmaceutical and biotech companies such as Merck, Genentech, GSK, Novartis, BMS, Sanofi, McNeil, Pfizer, Teva, Novo Nordisk, AstraZeneca, Baxter and Shionogi Inc. He’s also managed several third-party/non-profit relationships (e.g., Cancer Research and Prevention Foundation, Cancer and Careers, Black AIDS Institute, National MS Society, National Association of School Nurses) to provide insight and support to PR initiatives, national surveys, press materials and media tours.
Jay’s agency experience has focused on a combination of educational consumer-facing efforts and the translation of innovative science into meaning for patients.
