In the short time I am on this planet I want to experience as much as possible, from the good to the bad -- and whatever's in between.
I have been a journalist most my life, with a few adventures in between in different parts of the world around the planet. My final stint as a full time newspaperman came to an end when I was retrenched in May 2013,
I have since completed two TEFL (Teaching of English as a Foreign Language) courses, one in Thailand (January 2014) enabling me to teach English to learners from 6-15 years old and the second course, CELTA, which is a Cambridge University-based English Language teaching course, the most widely recognized TEFL course in the world, in Cape Town.
I completed a UCT Internet Marketing course through Cape Town University in November 2014 where modules included online writing styles, formats etc for digital publishing, web, email and blogging, Social Media and Viral Marketing, SEO, Web Analytics, Web Design and Development, Online Advertising and PPC, among others.
I have traveled quite extensively, under my own steam, and most my adventures have not been well known tourist destinations, but often in places well off the beaten track. The book is still jiggling around in my head somewhere.
Two things I am passionate about, make that four to include reading and teaching. The other two are writing and sport. Hire me to find out about the writing part, and as for sport, well sport in all its forms, whether watching or participating, is my anchor.
I am a dedicated runner, well I try to be, and for me here is nothing better than feeling and being fit and healthy.
Work Terms
I'm registered with a couple of international freelance writing sites such as Freelancer and People Per Hour among others as an article content writer. I can basically write about anything, just not technical.
I am a part time estate agent so am available every day for a few hours ( 4-5 hrs) at least and I don't have a problem with burning the midnight oil if deadlines dictate. Also available over weekends.
I would prefer to be paid into my Payoneer account or straight into my savings transactional debit card account.
