I’m a seasoned writer, editor, and ghostwriter who specializes in health, medicine, science, sex and relationships, and lifestyle topics. Above all, I’m a storyteller—and I tell stories that matter, whether that means a compelling magazine profile of a young physician, a hospital stewardship report describing groundbreaking scientific research, or engaging web copy that draws consumers to your brand. Need help telling your own story? I’m a prolific ghostwriter with nearly 20 years of experience under my belt.
For nearly a decade, I was a staff editor at Self Healing, the consumer health newsletter for renowned integrative medicine physician Dr. Andrew Weil. Life has a funny way of coming full circle: In late 2013, I helped reboot the publication and am currently its editorial director. In between, I held on-staff positions at Harvard Medicine, the award-winning magazine for Harvard Medical School, as well as at NorthPoint Domain, where I created patient education materials for physicians and large hospital systems.
I continue to work for a variety of clients, including major hospitals (Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital), schools (Harvard Medical School, UCLA), and brands (Listerine, K-Y Brand). You can find my byline in publications from the Boston Globe to National Geographic. As a ghostwriter, I’ve contributed to CNN, Fox, AOL, Huffington Post, and GoodinBed.com, and ghostwrote a consumer book on sex and relationships, which was published by Gallery Books.
When I’m not interviewing sources or crafting copy for clients, you can find me writing personal essays (published in the Boston Globe and the book Ask Me About My Divorce), publishing excerpts from my old high school diaries, or performing standup comedy in the Boston area.
