I'm an electrical engineer working as a freelance. I offer many solutions for process automation and building automation.
Hello, my name is Jesús Acuña. I'm an electrical engineer. I'm specialized in projects of industrial automation and building automation.
I started learning about PLC, Fieldbus Communications and Drives back in college. The very first PLCs I worked with were Siemens, the same for the motor Drives. During my time at MCL, I had the opportunity to develop TMC (turbo machine control), ASC (anti-surge control), F&G (Fire and Gas) and ES (Emergency Stop) applications; these were implemented with Siemens and HIMA PLCs. F&G and ES applications required safety measures in hardware configuration, also redundancy and SIL standards were most significant during the development. I was also in charge of writing and editing the FAT and SAT protocols for all the commissioning and startups I participated in.
Eager to gain more knowledge about motor drive and motion control, I pursued my career with Mitsubishi Electric. As technical support for many machine applications (conveyers, plywood processing, constant water pump systems, escalators, plastic injection, among others) that involved VFD and Servomotors, I mastered the different configurations and settings for the equipment. Consequently, I learned how to overcome the most common problems encountered during commissioning and startups of the machines.
In order to obtain the results during the commissioning and startups of any application, it was necessary to handle the pressure imposed by the client. I successfully started up many TMC and ASC applications with MCL; my former supervisor relied on me thanks to my organization skills and the ability to solve problems with calm. Working alongside with a college friend for the startup of a few HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) Systems, the skills refined with MCL came in hand.
I can provide many services in the automation branch: development, commissioning and support. I'm available for temporal or permanent relocation for the project/job.
