My love in graphics came when Friendster allow their users to customize profile design; started with paint then Photoshop then I explore video editing using Corel video studio and it became an occasional service that I offer to my friends, relatives and schoolmates. Working with my friend who owns a website that offers SEO and explainer video services in the past year sharpens my skills in this field.

Work Terms

Every client is different and in my experience I encounter really great clients out there that give clear instructions and know the right amount of revisions that a client is entitle to, there are also. in rare cases clients, who doesn’t know what they want and tend to change their mind from time to time. We don’t just want to finish the project and get paid asap, we want to build a relationship with you and be protected at the same time.

1. Deadline – Usually a realistic time estimate for a 2:00 minute video is around 7 days (given the voice over and script is complete). The deadline might change if the client is delayed when delivering the agreed upon requirements though I will do my best not to extend any deadline even the client is a bit delayed.

2. Kill Fee & Down Payment – I consider it a sign of good will to have initial down payment of 30% because on a very rare occasion I have completed a whole video and did several revisions and the client just left me out of dead air/vanished. I really don’t want that to happened again. You payment is ensured because of me wanting retain my 5-star rating on odesk and other freelance websites.

3. Single Point of Contact – All the feedback and revision requests need to go through one person so whether a client is a soloprenuer or a manager in a big firm. This will save us both time and have a clear idea of what should be done.

4. Revisions – The design process naturally consists of phases. The designer creates a design draft and asks the client for feedback. Revisions are then made with the goal to move closer to the best end result for the client’s project and its audience. In other words, revisions are part of the design process and they cannot (and should not) be avoided. Rather, they should be done purposefully by keeping in mind the project’s objectives.
