As a technician and artist assistant, I have over 18 years’ experience working with Art Galleries, Artists and art
handling. Installing and producing high-level artworks in Video, Sound, 16mm Film, and Time-based digital media.
I am Looking to expand my freelance consulting. Current and recent freelance roles include The Tate,
Spike Island, Carroll Fletcher, Liverpool Biennial, Bloomberg New Contemporaries, Dance4, Red Earth,
The National Trust, Mark Leckey and Marvin Gaye Chetwynd alongside developing diverse projects and AV hires
through my AV consultancy JimBrouwer.tech
I Participate with Curators and Artist to plan and implement the requirements for exhibitions and
installations of AV Artworks. I develop and maintain successful working relationships with both internal and
external staff by utilising my excellent communication skills, experience and technical knowledge.
I collaborate with others to plan and deliver the technical elements, events schedule, managing events,
calendars, staff and facilities. from public programs, music programs, performances, private hires
and corporate events and exhibitions.
Qualifications
BA (Hons) First. Fine Art (time-based media) 1997 - 2000 Hull School of Art ( the University of Lincolnshire and Humberside Hull campus)

17 Video Editing/Camera Experience (VHS Video, DV, 16mm, HDV, Digital Video, DSLR)
19 Years of Apple Mac Experience
14 Years of Live Sound, Mixing, DJing, Engineering, Sound Making Experience
10 Years Independent Technical Consultant
6 Years Art Handling Experience
6 Years Professional Lighting Experience
6 Years IT systems administration Experience
