I help businesses increase their online presence and form authentic bonds with their following through aligned content and interactions.
Business, creativity, and connection have always been a passion of mine so it was a no-brainer when I enrolled at Georgia State University as a Marketing major. I graduated with my Bachelor's in May 2020, which -- as the whole world knows -- was in the middle of a pandemic. This season was certainly a fight for recent graduates like myself.
After finding no luck with getting my foot in the social media industry, I took a leap of faith as a Business Development Representative (a fancy word for Sales) for Accenture, specifically campaigning for Uber Eats Technologies. As a marketer at heart, my time in sales only expanded my love for connection and (little did I know) prepared me for what was to come. My role taught me the importance of empathy, collaboration, problem-solving, adaptability, and -- of course -- how to sell an amazing service.
Despite having a terrific experience with Accenture, I knew what I wanted most was to pursue a career in social media. As a generation that lives and breathes social media, I fell in love not only with its means of self-expression and entertainment, but the power it had to expand and support businesses in this day and age.
Social media is no longer just an online gallery, but a digital storefront that grants businesses access to their customers 24/7. And just as any business forms relationships with their in-person customers, it’s just as important to nurture those that are online.
To make a long story short, my time in sales came to a close and I took a chance on myself by starting my own business -- Cruz Girl Media -- as a full-time social media manager. Within just a few months, I'd been able to exponentially increase my clients' account reach, engagement, and following all through organic marketing. I haven't looked back since.
