I graduated from University in England with an English and European Literature degree and started my career as a High School English teacher. I left work to bring up my family of four children; two are now at University; one is in Junior High, the other in Kindergarten! So I have quite a spread.
Over the past twenty years I have found the time to proofread oil and gas reports, a new start-up business' website and several High School and University level essays. I have also spent many years working in child care at the pre-school/Kindergarten level, maintaining a passion for education.
I am now finally able to commit myself to working full time and want to pursue a career with language. Freelance editing seems to tick all the boxes - I can work from home, read and check written documents, and perform a bit of detective work as I ensure my clients' work is accurate, consistent and of a high standard.
I now live near Calgary, Alberta and love having the mountains on my doorstep, as well as a thriving city so close.

Work Terms

Full-time - having the flexibility of working from home allows me to work evenings and weekends too, when necessary. My "per word" charge on my website equates to approximately $20 an hour.
