A former copywriter and marketing professor, 54, self-retired, starting to teach young people how to build a digital marketing career from scratch.

My first "serious and formal" job was as a typist. I learned how to be fast, and accurate, and to deliver on time.

Nearly two years later I went to a university to study Administration and got a position as an intern at Xerox do Brasil. We were building the company's first Direct Marketing Unit. In less than a year I was hired as a sales representative. It was a unique experience to work for a company like Xerox at the age of nineteen, but it was too early to commit to a long-term career and stay in my hometown.

So I moved to São Paulo to study Cinema & Video at São Paulo University (USP) and started a marketing career working as a copywriter for advertising agencies and video production houses.

I got a post-graduate Master in Arts and was hired as a professor by the Universidade Paulista (UNIP), the Brazilian largest private university. I taught copywriting and ad video production to Advertising & Marketing classes.

Now at 54, I am back in my hometown to start a personal project: to teach and help young talented people to start a digital marketing career from scratch. This project must be self-sustainable.

So I am applying for entry-level jobs here at guru.com to make money for the project and to better understand the challenges those boys and girls will face when applying to remote online jobs.

This is *not* a side project. I am working full-time on this and it must be my main income source.
