Everybody has a story to tell. What's yours?
After my MFA at the American Film Institute in the mid-'90s, my screenplay “A Southie Tale” made the semi-finals in the Academy’s Nicholl Fellowships. This opened the door to select production companies for story development. I completed an internship at Lawrence Mark Productions, as an assistant to the story editor, covering scripts and delivering a sequel search of old Hollywood titles. Over the past decade, while working as a digital consultant and raising a family, I coached and advised writers, worked on a few small projects, and helped develop a screenplay for Howard Kazanjian (never produced). I currently co-host the KWA screenwriters chapter in Hollywood. I am currently working on a screenplay with my wife, Rebecca (“Icons of Cairo”), as well as other projects with writing partners.
Work Terms
While I live in Los Angeles, (PST time), I will be able to accommodate a schedule that works best for you.
My work terms center around 3 main principles:
1. Positive reinforcement and motivation - Use positive language to acknowledge hard work to reinforce your skills and work ethic.
2. Improved communication and relationships - Give specific positive feedback to you as well as constructive criticism.
3. Promote and encourage work discipline, to meet your personal goals and stick to deadlines.
Remember, there is no such thing as "writing," there is only re-writing. And it always takes a lot of work and many drafts. But I respect realistic deadlines and try to achieve a well-balanced life.
