I'm a man from a small mine town in the Kalahari, South Africa. We had a small shop, small butchery, small post office and a small bank twice a week. Life was nice, not easy, but nice growing up. Horse riding, building what we called awesome wooden homes/dens and swimming was part of the everyday life. With my knowledge of the bush and school I was ready to take on the big world. I did good in sports at school, so in the back of my mind that was what I wanted to do. Of to the big city of Cape Town. Started with my Technical Collage career and joined a sports club I was set for a cracker of a year. That did not happen. Party's and friends helped me in a other direction. After a year my dad had enough of my holiday in Cape Town and I had to come home. After 20 years I was back to square one. What do I want to do with my life. Couple of months later I made the choice, Kitchen Management it is. I enrolled in a part time course a was able to land a job in a restaurant in a nearby town. In a couple of weeks I was in charge of running the kitchen. Young and a rookie this was a great step in my life. After a year the restaurant was sold and I took a learner job in the drawing office on the min. After 8 years and a lot of training I left the mine as a Mechanical Draughtsman to move to the Western Cape, to be closer to my family and my dad with cancer. He passed away a couple of weeks later at the end of 2015. Me and my wife opened a fish & chip shop in Hartenbos at the end of 2015. We opened the second shop in February 2017 and started a daily meal delivery service. With the shops able to run mostly on their own, I started studding for my Architectural Diploma. With my knowledge in a wide field I know I would be able to give my best and deliver a product that I would be proud of.
