Translating engineering into everyday understanding. Communicating complex ideas to stakeholders.
I have been in the Water Resources field for over 30 years. Most recently, I have over 10 years experience creating and managing a successful, funded, regional flood control/watershed management program in Northern California. As Program Manager I supervised all aspects of program development including public outreach via printed material and website, engineering project concept development, public communications, multi-agency coordination and supervision of engineering and environmental consultants. I prepared press releases, ghost-written communications for elected officials, legislative briefings, and hundreds of powerpoint presentations.
My primary skills are public speaking, team building and leadership but I have a sound foundation in water resources ranging from piping and pump design and installation to regional water management planning.
I hold a B.S. in Civil Engineering and have been trained as a meeting facilitator and team leader.
Work Terms
I am available 4 days of the work week, Monday - Thursday, Eastern Standard Time but I'm flexible. I can also work in the European Union.
