Technical consultant seeking opportunities in Software and Web-Application Development to create organizational efficiencies and to add value to both the organization and customer experience
Recently, I spent two and a half years as a software engineer working for edo Interactive, a startup company in Nashville, on their backend systems where I designed RESTful web services, web applications, internal Java applications, and utilized Pentaho Data Integration to manage the flow of large sets of data through our systems and assist in streamlining weekly system processes. Before I left I was working with Hadoop and HBase to help solve our big data needs.
My skills and experience include Java, C#, .Net, PHP, SQL (PostgreSQL and SQL Server), Grails, Spring MVC, Pentaho Data Integration, Regular Expressions, Hadoop and HBase, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Git, and working in a Linux Environment.
I believe in delivering a quality product or service that is on time and provides a good value for my customers. I uphold myself to and live by strong moral and ethical practices.
Outside of work I spend my time socializing with friends and traveling as much as I can. I try to live an active lifestyle that involves learning and trying new things and pushing myself to continue to grow and better myself. My hobbies include riding my motorcycle, rock climbing, playing various sports, playing the guitar, snowboarding, hiking and backpacking, mountain biking, and just enjoying life in as many ways as I can. I also enjoy reading and volunteering my time with a local young adult group.
Work Terms
I'm pretty available throughout the day. I do need my sleep though. As far as communicating, I can be contacted by phone, email, Skype or some other messaging app, or carrier pigeon if that's your thing.
