Modern Technical Communicator
I'm a technical communicator from Texas who got their start in the non-profit sector. My mission is simple: create content that is beautiful, user-friendly, and helpful.
As anyone who has worked in the non-profit world will tell you, you get the chance to wear many hats. This means I have developed a diverse set of skills by creating marketing strategies, ad campaigns, instructional content, volunteer training, financial reports, annual reports, graphic design, grant applications, and conducting website maintenance.
I currently have 30 credit hours completed towards an MA in Technical Communication. The course work has given me up to date knowledge on best practices for writing for diverse audiences, designing instructional materials, using the Adobe Creative Suite, user experience (UX) testing, prototyping, editing, researching, communicating with visuals, and persuading.
By blending technical communication best practices with my experience creating visually striking ad campaigns, I create what I consider modern technical communication.
A little bit more about me: I love working with organizations making a difference in their community. Additionally, I am passionate about cooking, technology, hiking, and animals.
