Everyone dreams to be somebody but I choose to be everyone’s dream
Joseph Akwasi is a filmmaker and media producer. He started making award-winning short films at age 19, whilst doing his BFA degree in Film/TV Directing at the National Film and Television Institute(NAFTI), Ghana. Since then, he has worked and rubbed shoulders with industry giants all over the world thus garnering 7 years of experience in film production. He’s currently the Reel director and founder of ReelMaker Studios and the ReelMakers brand. This he operates contentedly whilst pursuing a Master in Visual Communication(film) at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne, Germany. Joseph Akwasi’s films have been screened at film festivals in the US, Germany, Finland, Poland and Nigeria. He strongly believes in the power of film and it’s ability to affect the perceptions of society. It is the knowledge of this power that drives his work as an young filmmaker.
