I am a freelance Industrial Designer experienced in the design and development of consumer products with emphasis in soft goods.
I discovered industrial design on a roundabout decade long journey including six years in the United States Navy. Upon leaving the service I used my GI bill to eventually earn my degree from the University of Washington. After leaving the university, my real design education began as I found a job with a small Industrial Design firm in Portland, OR. That first gig didn't last long and I was laid off 10 months later. Being thrust into the job market in at the height of the recession was rough, job hunting was difficult. As a matter of survival I began taking up freelance gigs, small at first but growing more involved in scope and scale over the years until my freelance life became a full on career. I am grateful for everybody who has helped me along the way and have created a place where my full passion for design can be applied directly to my work with minimal distraction.
