Internet Data Center Hero
In the early 1990's, I ran a BBS which I grew into an Internet Service Provider. I have been responsible for production systems of one kind or another ever since then. I have worked at startups (AthenaHealth, Inc) as well as large corporations (Cisco Systems). I am comfortable with designing systems from the ground up. I am looking for a smaller company that I can lend my expertise to. I enjoy designing solutions for production environments, and I have become quite good at it over the years. I am extremely capable in high stress environments such as 'network down emergencies', and I am very good at handling vendors.
Having been in this business for so long, I have a very good sense of where the IT world is heading, and I hope to help others design efficient and reliable systems.
I am originally from Virginia, and I only speak English, PERL, and PHP. I have excellent communication skills and my own personal bug tracking website where I keep a track of tasks I have taken on.
Work Terms
I prefer e-mail communication. I am available for meetings during normal eastern timezone business hours. I don't think I can accurately assess and perform any job in less than 3 hours, so my minimum term is 3 hours.
