Working closely with clients (including industry leaders, start-ups and institutional philanthropies), Wachs helps move the needle on pressing social problems while elevating visibility and achieving business objectives. Josh is a veteran strategist. As the Chief Strategy Officer for Share Our Strength, Josh was responsible for developing, implementing, and launching the long-term strategy for the No Kid Hungry campaign, the organization’s national effort to end childhood hunger in America.
Josh also served as the National Basketball Association’s Vice President of Community Relations, where he led the league’s global philanthropic and public service platform, NBA Cares. By honing in on his expertise in corporate philanthropy, Josh was able to pioneer programs with current and prospective NBA/WNBA marketing partners to establish joint social responsibility programs (including T-Mobile, Toyota, Pitney Bowes, and adidas), driving significant revenue for the league, which remain a core focus of the NBA today.
