Problems solved. By design.
13 years is a long time. In it, I've worked with clients across industries and continents. Early in my career, I designed logos and infographics, and then, as I learned more about WordPress, began designing websites. From there, I gained experience in sign design, packaging, and even app design. In the midst of all that, I began to specialize in brand and identity design while contributing significant design efforts to editorial layout and publication for companies in fintech, crypto, sustainability, health and wellness, technology, and medical care sectors.
Meanwhile, partnering with a fantastic wife and raising four children, I sought to continue my freelance career even as I would entertain stints as a W2 employee. Most recently, I served at a robotics company to contribute technical writing skills and help build out a technical writing team, and then was recruited internally to serve on the marketing & communications team as a senior digital designer where I led the design, development and maintenace of our intranet while contributing to the redesign of our external facing website.
I live by this quote: "a jack of all trades and master of none" ... with the oft unquoted ending, "but often more useful than a master of one."
Work Terms
In general, I prefer to receive deposits on all fixed-rate projects and generally operate on a 50/50 basis. Additionally, I'm open to working hourly, as well, and in cases of Net 30 payment, also take a deposit up front to secure the time I would devote to hourly contributions.
