Writer, editor, proofreader. I will help you tell your story and make it unforgettable.
For as long as I can remember, I have been a storyteller. As a 10 and 11 year old, I would help myself to my stepfather's examination books (he is a college English professor) and fill them with my stories. People from my middle school creative writing class still remember stories that I wrote thirty years ago. As a precocious high school misfit, my best academic work was the articles I wrote for our award winning school newspaper. I also established myself as a poet, winning poetry contests both inside and outside school. After graduating from college with my degree in English, I discovered that food wasn’t free and the rent needed to be paid, I took an entry level job at the local phone company and over the next twenty years, the company changed hands and grew. I held a variety of jobs with an increasing level of responsibility.
For the last eight years, I worked as a sales coach. My job was to train and motivate a team of 16 to 21 consultants for an inbound call center. In 2014, my company was acquired by another telecommunications company. I worked for a year to assist my employees through the transition and helped the new company become better equipped to handle the market in my state. After the year, the new company decided that my services where no longer needed.
Corporate training and the practical experience of managing in a high stress call center environment gave me the tools I need to make a career of my passion for writing. I have built and launched my own website. I work with people who want to become writers and coach them through the process. I publish a weekly blog and am working on a novel. I bring a unique perspective, fine tuned skills and powerful work ethic to freelance writing work. Let me help you make your words great!
