Electronics professional, enjoy software, love education
I am an electronic engineer primarily interested in the development of new electronic products. I am keen to work on fleshing out ideas, implementing ideas or both. In short if you could think, "I would like to have a gadget that can do _________", then I am the person to contact. In order to do this, I have developed skills in microcontroller/firmware development, electronic design and control engineering strategies.
I have previously worked on Atmel AVR, PIC and STM microcontrollers which I would consider for work required to a commercial standard. I have also extensively used the entire Arduino development suite and am comfortable using this for high quality hobbyist work. On these microcontrollers I have used a wide range of sensors and actuators to implement solutions of varying complexity. These vary from RFID sensing to GPS tracking applications.
For the solutions that I develop, I am able to make the firmware programs and necessary circuitry to operate them such as power supply circuitry.
I have also previously developed prediction software and deployed applications that run on the cloud. I like a good meaty (electronic) challenge and will not shy away from having to do a bit of research. Besides electronic engineering and software development, I am also intrigued by the field of education.
