Verbalizing your vision in prose.
I grew up in Virginia, reading my father's favorite novelists and dreaming of writing my own stories one day. Times flies, doesn't it? Now I'm an author of four books with plans for more in the future. It still feels like I'm only getting started! I graduated from George Mason University in '09 with a degree in Poetry (and a minor in coffee consumption). One of my best memories from those college days was seeing my school's basketball team make an unprecedented run to the Final Four in '06, upsetting big names like UNC and UCONN along the way. That was a thrill for a young hoops fan like myself! After working odd jobs for a couple of years after my graduation, I moved out to Thailand to start my teaching career. That decision changed my life in so many beautiful ways. Being a foreigner in a distant land gave my writing the opportunity to grow as I integrated new experiences and became fluent in Thai culture. My publishing debut was an e-book entitled "How To Be A Successful ESL Teacher", quickly followed by my first fiction release, "Chimera". Both were heavily informed by my life as an expat in Thailand. In the last several years, I've been writing frequently for clients in the health & wellness space. This has expanded my knowledge in holistic self-care and also further refined my professional writing style. My first novel, "Emerald Chant", was just published a few months ago through Creative Book Writers in California, and I've just recently completed the manuscript for a second novel I hope to have published soon. My mindset is heavily influenced by travel, spirituality & multiculturalism, and my writing is the product of having learned at the feet of master craftsmen in literature and journalism ever since I was in grade-school. I guess you could say I'm "prose-minded". I'd love to partner up on a conscious writing project...drop me a line!
Work Terms
I'm extremely flexible and am generally available from Monday to Saturday every week. A perfect balance of clear communication and creative space is always appreciated in a client. Please note that, because I live in Thailand, I'm around 12 hours ahead of U.S. eastern standard time.
