Terrific Transcription!!!

After gaining working experience in the fields of banking, admin, secretarial (legal) and education I began freelancing as a transcriptionist 6 years ago.

Having raised 6 children and home schooled the youngest until 2010 I am highly motivated, methodical, extremely well organized and trustworthy. I have excellent English communication skills, in fact born and raised in England, although I now live in South Africa. Being a perfectionist I constantly check and recheck my work for spellings, correct place names, references and such, and always maintain a high standard of work. I consistently proofread all my work and only submit work which I consider accurate in spelling, punctuation and grammar.

I am an avid reader and crossword fanatic and as such consider my grammatical skills well above average. I am completely at home with any accent and adjust transcription spellings accordingly, i.e. Australian, British or American. I have been a freelancer for several years and have competed transcriptions such as one on one interviews, medical discussions, motivational seminars, educational and physical literacy interviews and motivational seminars as well as doing voice validation for single utterance projects (Google). My most recent large project was transcribing 1750 minutes of audio interviews in the field of physical education and physical literacy in British schools which I completed in September 2016.

As well as being an avid reader I also enjoy creative writing in various genres, mostly for my own amusement and would like to branch out further into this field given the right opportunity.
