I'm a writer and editor with nearly a decade of creative writing experience at the professional level. Under my pen name, J.W. Alden, I'm an award-winning author with fiction in more than 20 publications around the world. I also have experience as a writer and editor in the video game industry. Currently, I write, edit, and proofread consistent content at two online blogs. This work all came with non-salaried compensation on a freelance, per-contract basis.
In 2013, I attended the Odyssey Writing Workshop at Saint Anselm College, a juried creative writing intensive. Since then, I've attended multiple other creative writing workshops and courses. In 2016, a piece I wrote won 1st Place in the Writers of the Future awards.
