Experienced content consultant and design thinking practitioner

I am a content developer and editor focusing on educational, non-profit, for-purpose, and creative organizations. I offer:

* a big-picture brain. I am a proven leader with demonstrated ability to envision new programs and engage in systems thinking. Developing and implementing concrete plans from an inspired idea is one of my favorite things to do.

* a keen eye for detail. My love for language and dedication to precise expression make me a thorough editor and a lively writer. My experience as a project manager and department director has made me an eternal and ardent fan of clean, up-to-date project plans and schedules.

* a steady hand for management. I am a creative problem-solver; I seek the root of an issue and find elegant ways to address it. I am a collaboration-oriented, effective manager of projects and people.

I am also a Design Thinking and Communication instructor at Northwestern University. In this exciting cross-disciplinary project-based course, students learn and apply human-centered design and a rigorous combination of engineering, communication, and project management concepts to develop design solutions for a real-world client.
