I have always been the consistent keeper of half-filled journals and notebooks. It wasn’t until a high school creative writing class that I began to understand that my stories could reach out into the world to entwine with the stories of others. I found that through my own writing and teaching education, writing can be one of the quickest, most effectively true mediums of communication, whether or not it is read by an audience.
Communication has become the central theme in my writing philosophy. From hand-drawn birthday cards to more elaborate personal narratives, I have seen growth and accomplishment in people simply through the art of words. I embrace the notion that writing, either for oneself or for another person, can cause ideas to metastasize into coherent and relatable correspondence with other human beings.
I’ve also found solace in the practice of writing. After finishing my Masters in teaching degree earlier this year, I was faced with the daunting – and slightly sledge-hammering – task of finding an open teaching position. I supplemented my job search with substitute teaching to gain experience, but found that my status as a subbing nomad was irrelevant when faced with the larger goal of teaching my own set of students. So I wrote about it: privately, relentlessly, and unapologetically. My words were not wrong or inexperienced. They had a purpose of validating my self-centered insecurities of whether or not I had just wasted A LOT of money on an education I wasn’t sure if I would be able to use – and they reminded me that I had an entire arsenal of writing education behind me.
So here is my ultimate goal in writing: to communicate and validate thoughts and ideas by concisely packaging them with written words. I can make a decent employee sound professionally radiant in a resume or create emotions that breezes from a page to breathe life into a story; it doesn’t matter what I write, because I will always write it with truth.

Work Terms

My hours of operation and payment terms are negotiable based on the length and intensity of the writing assignment, but I will always complete an assignment in a timely manner (it’s the teacher in me). I prefer PayPal as my preferred payment portal. As of now, communication through Guru or email is the most effective means of reaching me. I'm sure that this description will be molded with more writing experience, but for now I am extremely flexible in these terms.
