Hi! My passion is for making people's lives easier with software. I work in Python, Django, and Flask. I also do video and graphic design editing.

I stumbled on web development and programming while working as an office manager in the nonprofit sector. I saw over and over again that organizations spend lots of resources on repetitive tasks that are easily automated, and I soon developed a passion for streamlining business processes with technology. In two weeks at one of these organizations, I closed $50,000 in outstanding invoices using software tools I developed myself.

I'm particularly interested in web technology because of the unprecedented levels of access it provides to under-resourced communities, organizations, and individuals. And as someone who grew up at about the same pace as the Web, I'm fascinated by the ways in which the Internet continually reproves its potential for innovation and reinvention.

As for my background, I'm a classically trained pianist, vocalist, and composer; and I moved to New York to study musical theater writing. Through my work as a music director and choral singer, I discovered my interest in managing processes and delivering excellent results in a collaborative environment. One of my musicals was optioned for feature film adaptation by 20th Century Fox in 2016; another was a finalist for the National Musical Theatre Conference at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center in 2017; and I was a finalist for the Grammy Award-winning men's choir, Chanticleer, in 2017.

I negotiate work hours on a case-by-case basis. With regard to communication, I love to speak on the phone or on Skype and follow up in writing to be sure we're on the same page.
