Kasey Rubenstein is a passionate writer with a knack for pop culture, cinema, and gaming as well as more technical and practical topics.
As a Film and Digital Media major at UC Santa Cruz, Kasey had the opportunity to study all aspects of film in great detail. Because of her expertise in both the critical and theoretical as well as technical aspects of the medium, she was one of the first students to graduate with the newly created Integrated Critical Practice concentration in the major. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and since then has concentrated mainly on screenwriting and writing film critiques.
Kasey worked as a math tutor for several years both during and after college. Her experiences with tutoring and as part of the CalTeach program inspired her to continue contributing to education as a writer. She was given the opportunity to do so as a content writer for Scholastic Expeditions, a student educational travel organization.
Kasey's skills as a writer have been applied in other fields as well as she has expanded her career further into freelance writing. She has written on lifestyle and business topics along with travel, entertainment, and environmental topics.
Kasey grew up in Los Angeles, but is now residing in Humboldt County, CA.
