Graphic designer with ten years of experience in the field seeks an opportunity to apply my skills and help clients solve their design problems

Hi there! I'm Katharina D. Velez, but you can call me Kat. I'm a full-time freelance graphic designer out of the Chicagoland area who specializes in creating fun, yet effective designs for both print and web. I've been designing for almost 15 years, and though the design industry has changed dramatically around me, I've been doing my best to keep up with current trends. Design is my one true love. It's most interesting to me to pinpoint what a client needs and then create something that solves that issue for them.

In the past, I've also been a print production assistant, blogger, content curator (which is a fancy way of saying that I shift through social media and share pictures and links I find the most interesting to my audience), website editor, copy editor, and telemarketer (I don't recommend that last one). My job history has been one long, strange trip, but no matter what I do, circumstances always bring me back to graphic design in some fashion.

Work Terms

Hours of Operation: Since I live in the Chicagoland area, I prefer to work from 9am to 5pm Central time. However, if a client lives in a different time zone or works different hours, I'm certainly flexible.

Payment Terms: Full payment is due within seven (7) days of the completion of the project. Prices are negotiable only if you are working with or for a non-profit organization.
