I have been a long-time editor, graphic designer and journalist who has won four Maggie Awards for excellence in journalism and graphic design. I do Wordpress websites as well.
Since graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism/advertising, I have been a magazine publisher, editor, graphic designer and website developer. I love the media world as it's creative and demands unfolding each client's unique character verbally or visually.
I have been lucky enough to have interviewed and written hundreds of stories about ordinary people often doing extraordinary things. I have interviewed and written feature stories on internationally acclaimed personalities like singer Joe Cocker, bestselling author Clive Cussler, former Vice President Dan Quayle, commander of Desert Storm, General H. Norman Schwarzkopf and countless others.
Since it was difficult making a living as a writer, I became a "jack of all trades," so to speak, in the media world. I became an expert at magazine layouts and graphic design. I worked in Adobe Creative Suites for over 25 years. Since selling my magazines, I work now in Canva and Wordpress as a front-end Wordpress website designer and writer.
My services today include: Wordpress design, proofreading, graphic design -- logos, business cards, flyers, brochures, banners, social media ads, posters, magazine layouts, packaging, t-shirts, front covers of books or publications, labels, event announcements, newsletters -- writing and video intros and outros. I can also create artificial intelligent graphics.
Work Terms
I prefer to work by text messaging, but believe phone call conversations are important in the beginning. If the project is over $500, half down will be required. Unlimited changes (within reason) are offered and when the project is complete, a sign-off is required. Upon getting the sign-off and payment, the native files will be submitted to you.
