Katrina E. Kunstmann is a freelance artist and illustrator who has experience with sequential art, story boarding, cover illustration, concept art, and graphic design. She has an eye for composition and flow that lend a distinct style to her sequential narratives and visual design.
After completing a screenwriting degree from Central Film School London, which imparted a firm grasp of storytelling, Katrina began writing and illustrating the ongoing series “WARHEAD.”
Using this self-published piece as the backbone of her portfolio, she has since worked in comics, graphic novels, graphic design, logo and branding design, concept art, and cover illustration.
Her portfolio features illustrative and graphic design work for Heavy Metal Magazine, Kymera Press, House of Crooked Sisters, Theatrical Arts International; among other independent clients and fine art commissions.
Experienced with Adobe Photoshop CS6, Adobe Illustrator CS6, Clip Paint Pro 5, Paint Tool Sai, In Design; as well as MSWord and Excel.
Additionally, through self-publishing her own comic series, as well as designing branding for this series, she has valuable experience in print production and promotion which are useful to wide variety businesses and clientele.
Her work was also shown at the San Diego Comic Con 2015 fine art show, and in the San Diego Comic Con Souvenir Book 2014, and several galleries local to the central California area.
Work Terms
Contract by contract basis.
Rates are generally:
$15-20 a hr
$80-120 for comic pages
$300 for full rendered illustration
