I've been a writer ever since kindergarten. My mother still has poems and short stories from when I was 6 years old. Writing has always been my preferred form of communication and expression; it flows so much easier for me than speaking (and I'm a talker too).
My main area of expertise is in the field of children: parenting, single parenting, childcare, child development, ages and stages, education, discipline, behaviors, and more. I started babysitting when I was 12 years old, was a live-in nanny by the time I was 15, I am a mother of 6 of my own children, and a former preschool teacher of 8 years. I went to college and became an Early Childhood Specialist while working full time at the preschool and pregnant with my third child; graduating on the Dean's list with honors.
I recently self-published the first book in a fantasy-fiction series I'm writing receiving rave reviews from everyone that has read it.
While I do have other hobbies such as: wood-working, DIY crafts, cooking, jewelry making, crocheting, candle making, and soap making; and while I have an uncontrollable thirst for independent learning on subjects like; relationships, psychology, human behavior patterns, physics, quantum physics, neurology, NLP, spirituality, and more; I would have to say that children are what I know best, because they are what makes life worth living.
