Virtual Assistant

I am a student of Dominica State College, pursuing an Associate Degree in Business Administration. I am in my final year where I have only two (2) courses remaining to earn my degree. I would love the opportunity to gain employment with the Work Online Programme to apply the skills and knowledge that I have developed during my studies. I am passionate about gaining working experience and interested in learning more about navigating the online working environment. I feel it is important for me to maintain a practical, real-world perspective while completing my degree.
During my academic studies, I developed critical thinking skills by conducting numerous case studies in various courses. I feel the coursework in Customer Service Management, Information Technology, Computer Office Management, Business Communication and Principles of Business will help me succeed if given this opportunity.
In addition to my studies, I am a member of the Scott’s Head Youth Group where I developed exceptional organizational, time management, planning and leadership skills and the ability to work closely with others to achieve a certain objective on time. For instance, in my role as Chairperson of the Fundraiser Committee of my Youth Group, I have had to plan and organize various fundraisers. I created processes for pretty much everything, from scheduling meetings to organizing events and team building exercises.
Outside of my academic studies, I have also acquired excellent Customer Service and managerial skills during my part-time employment at Blanche’s Variety Store as a Store Clerk. My responsibilities include assisting customers, accepting payments and taking inventory.
I am a self- motivated, hard working, deadline oriented, flexible and adaptable individual who has developed a mature and responsible approach to undertake tasks assigned. In addition to these skills and my positive nature, I would be an invaluable asset to this programme. If I am successful, I will consistently work hard to help any company achieve its mission and objectives.
