Copyeditor and writer for your proofreading and editing needs

I am a senior Marketing Management and Japanese Language student at Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In addition to my educational history, I've had four years of professional writing experience, working on both large and small projects. I am passionate about both nonfiction and fiction writing.

With international travel experience, I wish to pursue global marketing, with goals to reach many different customer segments and change the common perspective that culture is an unbreakable boundary. Marketing and writing share the top spot in my pool of expertise.

My Responsibilities:
As a student writer for the Calvin University Communications and Marketing department, I am responsible for communicating and scheduling interviews with clients of interest for the university news and media outlets. I also create articles that cater to the university's mission and brand, using values as my style guide.

I've had a blast interning for The Stray, a coffee house and creative-hub for Grand Rapids locals. I'm never bored with creating content for social media, working in the cafe to make the space more welcoming, and creating meaningful relationships with employees, customers, and local artists and musicians.

I flourish in environments with creative variability and recognition of diverse talents. I strongly believe in the dignity of creation, and prove this through my dedication to helping others achieve their goals.

Work Terms

Copyediting: I prefer to communicate either through Guru or on LinkedIn, if you prefer. I will negotiate payment based on the amount of time your request will take me, and will hear your proposed prices as well. I'm flexible with pricing. I tend to get work done fast, so if I set an hourly rate of 20$ and get the job done in an hour, you're getting a finished product for 20$. Once I give you your work back, I will do any one extra request/fix free of charge if there happens to be anything I missed/overlooked.

Copywriting: My flat rate for copywriting is $15 hourly, though I can negotiate. I get my work done quickly, and to the brief you've specified. External research will be included in the work I put into your project. We can discuss any concerns you may have, or negotiate on price depending on the size of your project.
