Freelance writer, editor, and transcriber.
I graduated from Huddersfield University in 2012 with a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Journalism with Media.
I then immediately decided that I would never make it as a writer, and got myself a nice, safe office job. Since then, I’ve bounced from admin to customer services and back again, with none of them really being what I wanted to do.
In January 2016, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, hypermobility, and arthritis, which made it difficult to work traditional office hours. So, I find myself back at the beginning, using the skills I gained at university and my passion for writing to build a career that I love, and that works around my disabilities.
My full CV is attached below, and here is a list of the roles I can comfortably do:
Writing - article writing, copywriting, blogging, product description, press releases
Editing/proofreading
CV/resume and cover letter writing and formatting
Data input
Order form design
Website design using sites such as Yola, Wordpress, etc.
Transcribing
Typing
Work Terms
I work flexible hours, so I am available at most times of the day, on any day of the week.
I prefer email communication, however I am also happy to use the instant messenger side of Skype for any quick conversations.
