I am a passionate Java software engineer with over 15 years of IT experience

I like a good challenge. Ever since I entered the IT field I have challenged myself to learn everything I could. I am not afraid to experiment with new things and ask questions. I took my first programming class (Visual basic) back in 1998 and excelled to the top of my class by reading ahead and working with some of my peers to challenge each other to out preform each other in knowledge of the language.

I started my professional career around a bunch of really smart computer engineers and architects, all with many years of programming experience. I believe that made me a very well-rounded, intuitive, and hard-working developer. I am also a firm believer that there are 2 different types of IT professionals, those that are willing to learn and grow, and those that are in it for the money and recognition. I am not about receiving accolades or being the next Bill Gates (even though that would be awesome). I am in this field because I feel like I can genuinely make the world a better place with my talents.

Work Terms

I can work during the daytime (Eastern standard time GMT -0500) as I am still seeking full time employment and would expect prompt payment once deliverables are complete to satisfaction of the customer with sign-off or demonstration of the completed asset.
