My primary goal is to further explore and inform the public on a wide range of issues within the realms of news and pop culture as well as continue working as a writer.

I am a 31 year old freelance journalist with experience in copy editing and social media. Though I specialize in film criticism and history, I have a wikipedic knowledge of both pop media at large and more idiosyncratic avenues (urban legends, cryptozoology, etc.) that I often blend in articles and essays for colour and substance.

Though Canadian by birth, I was raised in Tucson, Arizona. That upbringing, plus an additional 13 years in Montreal has afforded me a perspective on North American culture both rare and all-encompassing. I'm as comfortable interviewing or writing about a filmmaker - like local horror scribe and actor John Fallon - as I am a prosecuting attorney - like Vincent Bugliosi who famously prosecuted Charles Manson. The first piece of advice any journalist, or writer, is given is simply to be curious. This is an edict I've never abandoned.

Work Terms

I'm never very specific nor do I require any environment to work. I only ask that, whatever the assignment, I be provided with what you feel is the basic necessary information to begin. Should I require more, I'll ask.

Also, though I'm very flexible in terms of payment, I do require some money for sustenance and, you know, living.
