It all started when I won a Young Writer's Award for my short story titled "Shark Bait" in the 5th grade...
Fast forward several years later, when I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature, with minors in Creative & Technical Writing, from the University of Central Florida.
I later resided in handsome San Francisco, performing PR/Marketing work and copywriting for high-end salons. I discovered the lovely symbiotic relationship between having both strong writing and designing skills, so I attended school for graphic design, naturally.
My adoration of sporadic inspiration and ridiculous work hours brought me to New York City, where I’ve enjoyed a run of occupation for the esteemed salon and distribution agency, Woodley & Bunny. I was a principal designer and the resident copywriter, whereby I created SACHAJUAN’s branding tag lines for Sephora. Since then, I’ve designed packaging and copy for POLAROID, developed, designed and created copy, product descriptions, and named a new brand, SIR, created various copy assets for a legacy luxury brand at a progressive NYC advertising agency, headed the website for Republic Records’ news stories as the Managing Editor and Writer, and currently work as the Marketing Manager for Oblique Artist Management, based in NYC.
I currently reside in Portland, OR (with frequent trips to NY and LA), love strong coffee, 60’s motorcycle mama hair, denim & leather, heavy music, Bebas Neue, other people’s pets, traveling, autumnal weather, and working with you.
Work Terms
Flexible work hours (I tend to write best at night with coffee), fast turnaround time and email response, understanding/application of SEO-friendly writing, and I receive work outlines/edits/input from you constructively.
I prefer email with phone calls/Skype calls occasionally, as necessary.
In return, I request clear communication through email, professional work orders with detailed outline of job tasks submitted.
