I’m a passionate data specialist with over five years of experience in data management, analysis, and visualization. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Busoga University, and throughout my career, I’ve developed a strong skill set in working with statistical software like SPSS and Python, database management systems like SQL, and data analysis platforms such as Power BI and Excel.
I’ve had the privilege of working in diverse roles, including my current position as a data specialist at CloudFactory Kenya. In this role, I’m responsible for ensuring data accuracy through quality checks, cleaning datasets using Python, and performing analyses that provide actionable insights for better decision-making. I also worked as a data officer with the Ministry of Health’s National Malaria Program, where I contributed to projects like the mass distribution of mosquito nets and played a key role in managing the Kenya Health Information System (KHIS).
During my time at Ipsos, I expanded my technical expertise in data analysis, report generation, and process automation. One of my proudest achievements was developing the 2020 annual statistical report for the Division of Health Informatics at the Ministry of Health. I also participated in the creation of Kenya’s Information Systems Interoperability Framework, a project that has had a significant impact on healthcare data management across the country.
What I enjoy most about my work is the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that both technical and non-technical audiences can understand. I take pride in being able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and contribute to strategic decision-making. I’m also committed to continuous learning, keeping myself updated on the latest trends in data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about giving back to my community. I volunteer as a first aider and enjoy the opportunity to help others in real-life situations. I’m also dedicated to knowledge sharing, having trained colleagues in SPSS and Excel during my time at Ipsos and the Ministry of Health.
I firmly believe in the power of data to transform organizations and improve systems, particularly in fields like healthcare and social development. My goal is to continue growing my skills and using my expertise to make a positive impact wherever I can.
Work Terms
Open to 30 hours a week or more, $6 an hour.
