It is important that both the client and the freelancer are comfortable with each other. Prior to taking on any project, I require an introductory meet and greet chat. This allows me to get more familiar not only with you but also your project needs. During this chat, I welcome any questions or concerns that you may have. A good working relationship is crucial to any successful project.
Having worked in investment banking and venture capital for over 25 years, I have made client confidentiality the cornerstone of my work. I made it my practice to never share client information and materials just as I would never share yours, regardless of whether a nondisclosure agreement is in place. I recognize that with startup, early-stage and in particular, technology-related companies, their ideas, and intellectual knowledge are often their most valuable assets. Companies should be protective of their proprietary information and should be comfortable knowing that their pitch deck, business plan, and other investor materials are not unknowingly being emailed, posted, or in any other way, shared with others.
