I am an accomplished film editor and director with a diverse background in the Indian film industry. My journey began with a strong foundation in Comparative Literature from Jadavpur University, where I completed both my B.A. and M.A. degrees. My academic background has deeply influenced my understanding of narrative and storytelling, allowing me to approach film editing with a unique perspective.
My career kicked off as an apprentice on the Bengali film *Aroni Takhon*, where I had the opportunity to contribute poetry for a character portrayed by the legendary Soumitra Chatterjee. Since then, I’ve worn many hats, working as an associate director, editor, and scriptwriter on various independent films and documentaries.
I’ve had the privilege of editing several independent films, including *Undivided Solitude*, which has received multiple awards. I’ve also directed commercials for major brands and worked on innovative short films like *The Ring*, which is currently streaming on ShortsTV. In 2022, I was honoured to be named one of the '75 Creative Minds of Tomorrow' by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting at the International Film Festival of India, Goa. My work is driven by a passion for storytelling, technical precision, and a commitment to bringing narratives to life.
